On this Mother's Day (and birthday) weekend let us dwell,
On all the things that Mom does so well. She keeps us updated on family news, From Rae-Dawn's puppy to Marlowe's poos She champions the environment and is on city council, And also writes plays as if time somehow stood still. On top of all this she takes the best care of Dad, Who, let's face it could make even the calmest person a little mad. She does all this without a care for herself, And just continually puts her own needs up on the shelf. She is the glue that holds this family together, One of a kind, a mother like no other. So Happy Mother's Day (and birthday) to the best mom we could ask for, From your expanding Zuckerman kids family that started with just four. |
I’ve been told before time is linear
I feel it’s more akin to a cylinder Circling through birthdays, extending each year tracing life like an uncoiled slinky Though we walk through the exact same doors This year, next, as we did years before We fight the inertial and entropic force We hope not to remain who we once were As the gardener you see past the weeds supporting young growth, pruning wayward trees You challenge us to stretch and reach for the light In return, our love in words we all write Happy Anna Day Mum |

My mother is an infinite light
From within she lets it shine There is glowing energy in her bones And a vibrant rainbow in her soul Sunny, cheerful yellow She is calm, cool, and mellow Sweet orange and gold She is kind, compassionate, and warm Deep firey red hues She is passionate and fiercely true Country sunset blues She is serene, mindful, attuned Bright lavender purple She is eclectic and creative with purpose And lastly forest green She is natural and ever nurturing And so I like to marvel At my mother and her rainbow And when she smiles Each color shines clear as day |
